Cinnamon tea is a comforting warm drink that’s brimming with antioxidants.
Cinnamon helps to reduce markers of inflammation, which in turn lowers the risk of disease. Antioxidants in cinnamon tea also help to fight against free radicals, which damage your cells and make things like heart disease and cancer more likely.
To make cinnamon tea, you’ll simply simmer together cinnamon sticks and water. Use 1 cinnamon stick per 1 cup of water.
Cinnamon sticks have to be slowly boiled to extract all the Cinnamon, so bring the water to a slow boil in a pan or stovetop kettle. Set the heat setting to medium-low so it boils slowly. This usually takes about 15-25 minutes.
